16:30 | Flanders’ Design Summit
Design Platform Flanders is organising its first Design Summit. For the first time in a quarter of a century, this event will bring together all stakeholders with an interest in design in Flanders for a discussion on policy. Furthermore, thanks to the presence of a delegation of representatives from Design Platforms in other European regions, this Design Summit will also have a definite international flavour. At the Summit, the results of the broad stakeholder surveys will be discussed and presented to policymakers, who will be represented by the three ministers responsible for design policy. The ministers are Mr Kris Peeters, Minister-President of the Flemish Government and Flemish Minister for Economy, Foreign Policy, Agriculture and Rural Policy, Mrs Ingrid Lieten, Vice-Minister-President of the Flemish Government and Flemish Minister for Innovation, Public Investment, Media and Poverty Reduction and Mrs Joke Schauvliege, Flemish Minister for Environment, Nature and Culture. The findings made by the stakeholders will form the basis for the strategy and activities of Design Platform Flanders until 2020. |
