About Service Design
The economic importance of the service sector is steadily growing. In a highly competitive environment, service companies are constantly looking for innovative ways of bringing their often intangible offering to the consumer. In the past the emphasis was placed more on traditional marketing and communication strategies. In recent years, however, the realisation has dawned that an innovative approach to bringing products and services to the market is essential. Progressive service providers have already successfully engaged designers to make their products more user-friendly, to visualise or to materialise services, and to present them in more agreeable surroundings.
In this second Belgian Design Forum conference, Design Flanders presents the very latest trends in the field of ‘design for services’, including a preview of a brand-new discipline: service design. This practice has already won its spurs outside Belgium and can also reach to the heart of your company in a positive way.
The conference will present successful case stories and afterwards provide the opportunity to meet design experts from Belgium and abroad in an informal setting. This Service Design Conference is aimed primarily at designers, managers and marketeers in the financial services sector.
